What is going on?

Latest addition : 1 December 2009.

After long and hard negotiations, the Kyoto Protocol was adopted on the 11th December 1997. It entered into force on 16 February 2005 and represented a milestone agreement between the decision makers in the world on how to meet the challenges of the climate change. The protocol is due to expire at the end of 2012 and a new agreement will be decided upon in Copenhagen. To symbolize this passage to the next generation agreement on the future climate regime UIC decided to organize a symbolic journey by rail from Kyoto to Copenhagen.
